Can I Have Multiple Languages on My Website?

Yes, indeed! Most major languages are supported, including non Roman alphabets such as Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, etc. There is a charge of $75 per additional language. Once it is configured, you will be able to manage translations for all of your website content and your website visitors will be presented with a widget that allows them to switch between languages.

I Have an Existing Website - Does This Offer Apply to a Redesign?

Absolutely! If you want to continue using your existing hosting provider, they must be able to support PHP5 and Linux. If you would like to move to our hosting plan, we will take care of redirecting your domain name (you must have access to your domain registration information).

What Are the Payment Terms?

You will receive electronic invoices that you can pay using any major credit card or with a PayPal account, using PayPal secure payment services. You do not need a PayPal account to use a credit card. Payment terms are 50% upon project start and the balance of 50% upon project completion.

How Does Email Support Work?

Send an email with your question(s) and get a detailed reply within 24 hours, for the life of your website. Support is limited to features that are included with your website design. Technical support for design modifications or issues not directly related to your original design is available at competitive rates.

Do the Themes Include Photos as Shown?

Yes! These professional quality images are included, but you can change them as you like.

I Have Special Requirements - Can They Be Accommodated?

The design packages offered here include quite a bit of functionality - custom development is available for specialized features at competitive rates. Just get in touch and we will provide a quotation.

What is a CMS?

A Content Management System is a software system that allows you to easily manage your website content. Creating new content or editing existing content is accomplished using a visual editor that looks very much like a standard word processor. You can even add new pages!

WordPress is the most popular CMS in the world! There are many reasons for its popularity, including ease of use, free and friendly community support, and superb reliability.

What is the User Guide?

The user guide provided will take you through all of the steps required to edit or add content to your website; it also includes some guidelines and best practices for SEO (see below). There are many advanced features that are part of WordPress that are not covered in the guide - the online WordPress Codex is your reference for these features. There are also literally thousands of readily available publications that cover every aspect of operation and development (check your local library!).

What About Search Engine Optimization?

SEO is a process for improving your ranking with search engines, e.g. Google, Bing, Yahoo, et al. - a higher ranking means your site will have a better chance of being listed given relevant search terms. There are three very important aspects to SEO: a search engine-friendly website (with reference to the underlying code and structures), quality content (the information contained within your website), and references from other websites (a.k.a. inbound links).

The first item, "An SEO Friendly Website", is an integral part of this package offer - your new website will be developed using current best practices and will provide the tools you need to keep it that way going forward. Quality content and Inbound Links are up to you, but we will provide suggestions for your content in the User Guide.
